本展では、工芸による表現の限界に挑む作家を紹介します。
南繁樹は、ロクロで成形した白磁の表面に、光と影が織りなす立体感を生み出す複雑かつ精密な幾何学文様を削り出します。
宮田彩加は、「エラー: 失敗の行為によって新たな価値観が生まれる」という考えを根幹に、ミシン刺繍による独自のテクニックを用いて制作しています。
廣瀬絵美は、「集積」をテーマに、細く引き伸ばした直線状や螺旋状のガラスを組み上げ、立体作品を制作しています。
ギャラリーコンセプト
YOD Galleryは、作家と共に新しい価値観、表現を国内外へ積極的に発信していくことを使命とし2008年に設立しました。芸術表現がグローバル化の傾向にある今、日本にあるプライマリー・ギャラリーとして改めて日本人のアイデンティティを見直し、世界に提示することのできる独自の芸術観を持った作家・作品を見いだし、紹介しています。芸術を通じて様々な価値観を提示・検証することにより、大阪・東京から世界に向けて次世代の文化の発信地として機能していけるよう、様々な活動を行っています。

About exhibited works
YOD Gallery presents artists who challenge and expand the expressive possibilities of contemporary craft.

Gallery concept
YOD Gallery was established in 2008 as a contemporary art gallery branch of Yodo Gallery, with a mission to present a new sense of value and expression to and from Japan. It has been supporting local art scenes and emerging artists working with new media, including video, photography, and installation.
