ARTIST INFORMATION
ミシンに意図的にバグを起こすことで現れる糸の層「WARP」シリーズや、支持体の布を無くし、糸だけで構築させていく「Knots」シリーズなど、「エラー：失敗の行為によって新たな価値観が生まれる」を根本にした技法と、生物の形態や物事の発生、進化の在り方を呼応させた作品作りを行っている。
主な個展に「マクガフィンの余熱」YOD Gallery (大阪、2025)。受賞歴に「第35回タカシマヤ美術賞」（2024）、「令和5年度京都市芸術新人賞」（2024）など。
Sayaka Miyata makes the works using innovative machine-embroidery techniques based on the idea that “errors” can generate new values and perspectives.
Selected solo exhibitions include the Residual Heat of the MacGuffin, YOD Gallery, Osaka (2025). Awards include the 35th TAKASHIMAYA ART AWARD (2024) and the Kyoto City New Artist Award (2024).
