出品作品について
本展では、澤田光琉、マスタニメイ、後藤秀樹、生嶋花、波多腰彩花、北林加奈子の6名の作品を展観する。澤田光琉は、光や影などの微細な変化を捉え、対象を理解しようとする行為を通して、自身を取り巻く世界との関係性や距離を測り、ものとものとの隔たりを埋める手段として絵画を制作している。後藤秀樹は、志野陶の伝統を礎としながら、海や雪など自然の記憶を想起させる力強い造形と深みある釉調によって、志野の新たな表現領域を切り開いている。マスタニメイ、生嶋花、波多腰彩花、北林加奈子もまた、それぞれ異なる素材や技法を通して、世界の輪郭を辿ることにより、鑑賞者自身の身体感覚や記憶へと働きかけるような作品を制作している。
ギャラリーコンセプト
GALLERY SCENA.は、現代美術を専門とするギャラリーとして2022年に東京・原宿に開廊しました。母体である秋華洞は、2003年の創業以来、古美術から近現代美術まで幅広く日本美術を取り扱っております。そうした背景のもと、弊廊は時代や地域を越えて受け継がれる美術の本質的な価値を見出しながら、次世代へ継承していくことを使命として、展覧会企画、国内外アートフェアへの出展、出版活動などを行っております。

About exhibited works
This exhibition presents works by six artists: Hikaru Sawada, May Masutani, Hideki Goto, Hana Ikushima, Ayaka Hatakoshi, and Kanako Kitabayashi.
Hikaru Sawada creates paintings that explore relationships and distances between the self and the surrounding world by observing subtle changes in light and shadow. Through the act of attempting to understand objects, Sawada approaches painting as a means of bridging the gaps between things. Hideki Goto, grounded in the tradition of Shino ceramics, opens new expressive possibilities within Shino ware through powerful forms and richly layered glazes that evoke memories of natural landscapes such as the sea and snow.
Likewise, May Masutani, Hana Ikushima, Ayaka Hatakoshi, and Kanako Kitabayashi each employ distinct materials and techniques to trace the contours of the world, creating works that quietly resonate with the viewer’s bodily sensations and memories.
Gallery concept
GALLERY SCENA. was established in 2022 in Harajuku, Tokyo, as a gallery dedicated to contemporary art. Its parent gallery, Shukado Gallery, has been handling a wide range of Japanese art—from antiques to modern and contemporary works—since its founding in 2003. Building upon this background, GALLERY SCENA. is committed to discovering and carrying forward the essential values of art that transcend time and geography. Through exhibitions, participation in international art fairs, and publishing activities, the gallery seeks to foster dialogues between historical perspectives and contemporary practices while supporting the transmission of artistic culture to future generations.
