ARTIST INFORMATION
1997年 静岡県生まれ。2020年多摩美術大学工芸学科を卒業後、富山ガラス造形研究所に進学。25年3月に金沢卯辰山工芸工房を修了し、金沢市内で制作。一貫して「生命」をテーマに作品制作を行う主に吹きガラスの技法を用い、溶解したガラスが自身の呼吸によって膨らむ様に生命力を見出し、手の内で蠢くマテリアルに寄り添いながら造形を行なってきた。その姿は一見すると不気味さを帯びているが、腐敗や死といった負の側面から「生」を捉え直すという寺澤ならではの視点が色濃く反映されている。
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1997, the artist graduated from the Department of Crafts at Tama Art University in 2020 before continuing studies at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. After completing the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo in March 2025, the artist established a practice in Kanazawa.
Consistently exploring the theme of life, the artist primarily works with blown glass. Finding vitality in the way molten glass expands through the artist’s own breath, the work emerges through a close engagement with the material as it shifts and moves within the hands. While the resulting forms may at first appear unsettling, they are deeply informed by Terasawa’s distinctive perspective, which reexamines life through its negative counterparts—decay and death. This unique viewpoint is powerfully reflected throughout the artist’s practice.
