ARTIST INFORMATION
1984年福島県生まれ。多摩美術大学工芸学科ガラス専攻卒業。Konstfack (国立芸術工芸デザイン大学スウェーデン)終了、MFA取得。現在スウェーデンを拠点にヨーロッパ、米国、日本各地で活動。代表作となるガラスの破片から制作されたドレスは、北欧に渡理、生活や制作場での困難を感じる中より生まれた。自信を取り巻く環境を行動と作品制作によって積極的に変えていく姿勢は、美しく繊細な影にあるアーティストとしてのタフさを感じさせる。
Born in Fukushima in 1984, the artist graduated from Tama Art University, majoring in Glass within the Department of Crafts, before earning an MFA from Konstfack (University of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Sweden. Currently based in Sweden, they actively exhibit and work across Europe, the United States, and Japan. Their signature glass shard dresses were born out of the challenges they faced in daily life and studio practice after moving to Scandinavia. The artist’s proactive approach to reshaping their environment through physical action and creation reveals a profound artistic resilience beneath the beautiful, delicate shadows of their work.
