ARTIST INFORMATION
Like a bird that has lost its wings, its wings flapping quickly, Lightning flashes brightly as it travels through the dark clouds. From high above, the density and color of the city reminds one of the clouds above. In the ephemeral nature of life,of seeing something for the first time and the memories of time past, To capture what it feels like to speak passionately about something, Is it something that only I can feel?
Through my work, I wish to share what I feel at this very momentin time, with people of any age in time.
Lacquer is a material with an eternal quality, and it is my wish to see my work a thousand years from now. My work, therefore, is a receptacle that helps me to understand,
connect, and communicate passionately with people of any era. 2019Finalist, LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2019/ Sogetsu Kaikan, Tokyo, Japan
