歴史の物語に「現れること」が参加することは、鄭崇孝の創作の中心的な要素の一つです。作品の中で、「ふくれっ面の少年」はさまざまな場面に登場し、肉体では触れることのできない境界を越えています。ふくれっ面の少年のイメージによる参加により、新しい世界との対話が生まれます。カートゥーンの遊び心と微笑ましいユーモアを適切に加えることで、作品の全ての物語が柔らかく外部に向けられたものとなっています。

One of the core aspects of Zheng Chong-xiao ‘s artwork is how to participate in historical narratives and become a “presence” in the evidence. In his works, the “pouting boy” appears in various scenes, transcending the boundaries that the physical body cannot reach. Through the participation of the “pouting boy” image substitute, a new relationship with the world is formed through dialogue. By appropriately adding the playfulness and delightful humor from cartoons, all the narratives in the artwork become gently open to the outside world.
