俵藤ひでとは、アクリルを主素材に活動する職人・デザイナー・作家。プロダクトからアートピース、伝統文化に関わる作品、さらには店舗什器に至るまで領域を限定せず、立体物のデザイン及び製作を行う。
アクリル職人の二代目として培った確かな技術を基盤に、素材の透明性や光の屈折を活かしたグラデーション表現を追求。層の重なりや磨きの精度によって生まれる繊細な色の移ろいは、硬質な素材にやわらかな奥行きをもたらしている。
Hideto Hyodo is a craftsman, designer, and artist who works primarily with acrylic. From product design and art pieces to works rooted in traditional culture and even custom store fixtures, he operates across disciplines, designing and producing three-dimensional works without limiting his field.
As a second-generation acrylic craftsman, he builds upon a solid technical foundation while pursuing gradation expressions that make full use of the material’s transparency and the refraction of light. The delicate shifts of color created through layered construction and meticulous polishing bring a sense of softness and depth to an otherwise rigid medium.
