本展では素材と向き合う姿勢そのものを提示する展示である。
標縄、アクリルと背景も性質も異なる素材は、用途や象徴から距離を取り、作品として空間に置かれる。
意味を与えられる以前の状態へと立ち返るように、素材はただ在り、その存在によって場に静かな変化をもたらしていく。
境を示し、信仰と暮らしのあわいにあった標縄の記憶は、空間に見えない輪郭を生み出す。
その連なりの中に置かれたアクリルは、ガラスの代替として生まれたフェイクという出自を
抱えながら、極限まで研ぎ澄まされた加工技術と忍耐によって、素材としての在り方そのものを問い直す存在として立ち現れる。
藤井桃子は、標縄という行為を通して火と向き合う。
火は破壊と浄化、そして再生を併せ持つ存在であり、形を与えられる前の力として立ち現れる。
結ばれた縄は燃え上がることなく、その気配だけを宿し、空間に緊張と静けさをもたらす。
俵藤ひでとは、水の循環と揺らぎをアクリルという人工素材に託す。
流れること、留まること、そのあわいに生じる光と屈折が、目に見えない運動を可視化する。
水は形を持たず、作品はその存在を一瞬の状態として空間に留める。
自然素材と人工素材という区分に対し火と水をテーマとした作品。相反する作品がいかに共鳴し合うかを是非ご覧ください。
古美術上田
今回の出品作家は、三上洸希。
鍛鉄作家である彼は、一枚の鉄板を金槌で打ち伸ばし、独自の造形を生み出す。
テーマは「鍛鉄の隕石」
鍛鉄の技法を駆使し、鉄ならではの質感を引き出しつつも、隕石を思わせる荒々しいテクスチャーを表現した作品となっている。
隕石や石など、塊を表現した造形物は、重みのあるイメージを与えるが、しかし、本作は鍛鉄により薄く成形されている為、見た目に反して驚くほど軽い仕上がりとなっている。
目で捉える印象と、手で触れ感じる重み。
そこに生まれる不思議な感覚、戸惑いを楽しんで頂ければと思います。

The featured artist for this exhibition is Koki Mikami.
As a wrought iron artist, he hammers out a single sheet of iron to create his unique forms.
The theme is “Wrought Iron Meteorites.”
Using his wrought iron techniques, he brings out the unique texture of iron while expressing the rugged texture of the meteorites.
While sculptures depicting solid masses, such as meteorites or stones, typically convey a sense of weight. However, as this piece is formed from thin wrought iron, it is surprisingly light despite its appearance.
The impression captured by the eye compared to the weight when felt by hand.
I hope you will enjoy the strange sensation and sense of bewilderment that arises from this contrast.
