コンセプト
作品全体を包む市松模様は「連続性＝永遠」の象徴でもある。模様の中に様々な素材の質感が複雑に絡み合っている。麻布の布目や箔の反射、ドリッピングされた下地粉の絵画的なマチエール。漆の艶が盤の厚みや鉋筋などの表面の質感や木地自体の存在感を強調する。表面が剥落したような本作は廃退的な空気感も纏う。

The checkered pattern wraps this entire work. The continuous checkered pattern is a symbol of "eternity." The textures of various materials are intricately intertwined on the surface. Linen texture and metal leaf reflection. The dripping ground powder has a matiere effect. The luster of lacquer emphasizes the thickness of the board and the streaks of the plane, creating a multi-layered expression. The complex and rich expression on the surface, and the appearance of the surface peeling off, this work also has a decadent atmosphere.
