アーチ造形の外側と内側に、対照的な質感が妖しく魅力的に映る作品。
本作の外側、荒々しい木肌の質感が現れている部分は樟である。周囲が映り込むほど滑らかで光沢のある内側は乾漆によるもの。全体で空間に対する存在感を示す。
胎の一部に使われているアルミ板が芯材となり、木材の反りを防いでいる。

A work in which two contrasting textures give off a suspicious charm.
The outside of this work, where the rough texture of the wood appears, is cinnamomun camphora. The inside is kanshitsu (dry lacquer) finish, which is smooth and glossy enough to reflect the surroundings. The textures act on the space and effectively show the presence of the work.
The aluminum plate is used as part of the base serves as the core material to prevent the wood from warping.
