コンセプト
シンプルなデザインと使いやすさのオブジェ、伝統的価値の基礎から始まり、流麗なラインときれいな表面で仕上げ、現代的感性を表現している。
プロフィール
1978年韓国ソウル生まれ。韓国の国民大学工芸美術学科および同大学院を卒業し、イギリスのラフボロ大学(loughborough University)大学院で陶芸を専攻、現在、建国大学兼任教授として在職している。韓国、日本、イギリスを経験した作家は、各国の文化とデザインを自然に溶け込ませた独自の色を持つ陶磁器を作る。 2018年、京都のギャラリー西川で個展を開き、「2019金沢工芸アートフェア」、「2017フィラデルフィアグラフトショー」など、国内だけでなく世界各地から多数の団体展も参加している。
Concept
This tea bowl is the object of a simple and practical design. It expresses modern sentiments by starting on the foundation of traditional value and finishing with smooth outlines and neat surfaces.
Profile
Artist Jaenyoung Jang received a B.A. and an M.F.A in the College of Design of Kookmin University and its Graduate School, and an M.F.A in ceramics at Loughborough University in the U.K. Recently, he is teaching at Konkuk University as an adjunct professor. His works are housed in major ceramic museums and he has participated in many major exhibitions including <2019 KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa>, <2017 Philadelphia Craft Show>.
