粉青金彩杯は青華で描かれた深い青色の上に輝く金が塗られた美しい杯である。

- 粉青
粉青は韓国陶磁器技法の一つで、暗い土の上に白い土を塗って制作する。表現の境界が決まっていないため、自由奔放な魅力が特徴だ。プロフィール
李康孝は30年余りの間、韓国の粉青陶磁を再解釈した独自の表現を追求してきた。彼は黒色に近い土の表面に液化白土を手と筆で散らして塗る。彼が作り出す跡はまるで東洋の水墨画に似ており、韓国のはっきりとした四季を描写した風景と比べても遜色がない。作家は国際的に有名で、彼の作品はイギリスの大英博物館、ヴィクトリア&アルバート博物館、フランスのセラミックセーブル国立博物館、アメリカのフィラデルフィア美術館などに所蔵されている。
Concept
Buncheong Gold Cup is a beautiful cup, painted with deep cobalt blue and glistening gold on top.
The surface of the cup has small cracks which allow a small amount of tea to sip in. So every time you use this cup, it leaves a subtle trace of colors; a cup that slowly changes with you.

Buncheong, one of the Korean ceramic techniques, is made by applying liquefied white clay over dark clay.

Lee Kang-hyo has spent more than 30 years in pursuit of a personal expression of the Korean Buncheong. He gradually mastered the skill of applying liquefied white clay to the surface of vessels and large platters. The marks he creates are comparable to landscapes depicting Korea’s four distinct seasons. Lee is internationally renowned and his works can be found in the collections of the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Musée National de Céramique Sèvres, France; the Philadelphia Museum of Art, USA and more.
