日本では、工芸というカテゴリーが手仕事による多くの作品を内包するようになりました。その広がりを示し、見つめることで、工芸がどこへ向かうのかが見えてくるかもしれません。今回は弊社が扱ってまいりました、ルーシー・リーをはじめとする海外の作家から日本の作家まで幅広くご紹介いたします。また近年我々が注目しております漫画原画を、日本の浮世絵の流れを汲む作品として位置付けて展示いたします。
Gallery concept
In Japan the term KOGEI incorporates all the forms of art manually achieved with a specific craftsmanship under command of technical bravura. To showcase a wide panorama of creative practice of some artist craftsmen, both modern/contemporary and national/international, we are hoping to spotlight on some of the footsteps that KOGEI is treading on in the future or has left behind in the past.
