ギャラリーコンセプト
日本の陶芸に影響を受け作家活動を始めたベナン系フランス人作家キング・ホウンデケピンクの陶作品は、工芸、現代美術、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ、日本など多様な文化、歴史、民族的要素を含んでいます。このキングの作品を軸に、サガキケイタ、石黒昭の超絶技巧的な立体、平面作品を織り交ぜ、表現形式に縛られない、多様な作品の捉え方や繋がり方を体験して頂ける展示空間を作りたいと思います。
Gallery concept
King Houndekpinkou's ceramic work, inspired by Japanese pottery, contains various cultural, historical and ethnic elements such as crafts, contemporary art, Europe, Africa, and Japan. We will position King's works as the core of our exhibition, and we interweave the super-skilled 2D and 3D works by Keita Sagaki and Akira Ishiguro.
Our concept is to create an exhibition space where visitors can experience various ways of seeing and be connected with the works without being bound by the expression style and format of KOGEI.
