自然素材に手をかけて技術を駆使した工程によって変化するその姿は、作者の思いや感情・感覚を映し出す。槌で幾度も叩くことで変化する金属の表情に魅せられた木瀬。時間の経過や、過去と現在の間、人の営みや記憶を主題にする山本。吹きと熱、重力によってガラスが変化する過程を造形美に昇華する藤掛。色漆と加飾によって人の心の色・形を表現する吉田。それらの在り様は心の機微を捉え、わたしたちの内なる自然性を喚起する。

Gallery concept

The natural material that changes its form with the process of making full use of crafty techniques with their hands. That reflects the mind, emotion, and sense of the artist. Kise who was fascinated by the expression of the metal which changes with the hammering technique that beats a copper plate thousands times. Yamamoto creates works based on her interests in “the passage of time,” “between past and present,” and “life and memory.” Fujikake’s work visualizes the process of changing glass by blowing, heat and gravity. Yoshida expresses the figure-and-color of our feelings through the use of colored lacquer and lacquer decoration techniques. Their works will evoke you a sense of adoring nature, the kogei cures you.
