ギャラリーコンセプト
KANA KAWANISHI GALLERYは、あらゆる現象学的メディウムを用いて新たな普遍的解釈を提示する国内外の現代美術プライマリー作品を扱うギャラリーです。今回は、400年の歴史を誇る有田焼を大胆に再提示する藤元明をはじめ、錆を扱う相澤安嗣志、精巧な箱根寄木細工の伝統工芸を既存の枠組みから解放させる太田憲、仏教世界に身を置きながら軽やかにストリートカルチャーを陶芸作品に転換させる長谷川寛示など、伝統工芸と現代美術の間に位置する作品をご紹介いたします。
Gallery concept
KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY is a contemporary art gallery featuring artworks of Japanese and international artists that exemplify current and universal matters and phenomena. This time, they will curate a group exhibition introducing artworks standing in between Kogei and contemporary art, including Akira Fujimoto who drastically reinterprets the four hundred years of history of Arita porcelain, Atsushi Aizawa who exhibits the aesthetics of rust, Ken Ota who intrepidly crosses the existing frames of traditional Hakone Yosegi woodcrafts, Kanji Hasegawa who lyrically exemplifies street culture in Buddism with ceramics, and more others.
