- 漆塗り
漆塗り製品は手で一つ一つ磨き、塗り、待つことを繰り返しながら、数十段階の手間を経て作られる。ウルシの樹液である漆は天然塗料で防水、防虫、防炎、防腐だけでなく耐久性に優れ、昔から貴重な物に使われてきた。天然保存力を備えた環境にやさしい漆は、物に美しさと実用的な価値を加え、適切な管理によって一生使用できる素材である。プロフィール
チョン・ウンジンは韓国最高の漆職人である父チョン・ヘジョの娘として成長しながら自然に漆と向き合った。培材大学校の学部と大学院で漆芸を専攻し、同大学の漆芸科と清州大学校の工芸デザイン科の講師を歴任した。2010年と2011年に個展を開き、ソウルで開催された「2017ファッション・オブ・クラフト」、ドイツ・ミュンヘンで開催された「2016KOREA NOW!」など多数の団体展に参加した。現在、JL Contemporary 代表のチョン・ウンジンは韓国工芸家協会と韓国漆造形会会員としても活動している。
Concept
This is the Ottchil Art Cup with 5 different vibrant colors. The cup is painted with natural lacquer in the traditional way. It has a refined finish and a smooth texture unique to lacquer.

Ottchil (Lacquer) crafts require a complicated process, time, patience and devotion. The sap of lacquer is a natural paint that has long been used for valuable items due to its durability as well as waterproof, insect repellent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic. Eco-friendly lacquer with natural preservation adds beauty and practical value to objects, and is a material that can be used for life through proper care.Profile
Jeong Eun-jin grew up as the daughter of Jeong Hae-jo, the father of the best lacquer in Korea, so naturally she encountered lacquer. She majored in lacquerware at the undergraduate and graduate school of Pai Chai University, and has served as a lecturer at the same university, as well as the Department of Craft Design at Cheongju University. She held solo exhibitions in 2010 and 2011 and participated in a number of group exhibitions such as '2017 Fashion of Craft' in Seoul, '2016 KOREA NOW!' in Munich, Germany. Jeong Eun-jin, currently JL Contemporary's primary representative, is also a member of the Korean Crafts Council and the Korean Ottchil Art Association.
