ギャラリーコンセプト

現代美術 艸居は、金沢の陶芸家中村卓夫の個展を開催いたします。今展では、箱をやめたハコなどを含む中村卓夫の新作を展示いたします。中村卓夫は二代目中村梅山の二男として生まれ、父のもとで陶芸を修行しました。作品は、象嵌した白土の上に色絵をほどこす梅山の代表的な技法（色絵象篏）を使い、現代の装飾的な陶芸を展開しています。器から始まった作品は、最低限のうつわの用途をもたせた造形作品となり、琳派の光悦や宗達の意匠を現代にアレンジした、全く新しい装飾空間を演出しています。

Gallery concept

Sokyo Gallery is pleased to present a solo show by Takuo Nakamura. The exhibition features his new works, including the series of “Box, not a box.” Takuo Nakamura was born as the second son of Nakamura Baizan the second, and trained his technique under his father.His work evolves contemporary decorative ceramics using the representative technique of Baizan, IROE-ZOGAN; painting on inlayed white clay. The show features a form of vessel now becomes a sculptural object which retains a minimum use of a vessel.
