今展は『Unique』
球面に歯車を取り付けるなど常人では考えつかないユニークな木工作品を作る岡田敏幸。
かわいいものを作るという言葉どおりの作品には「慈愛」という言葉がピタリと当てはまる質感や雰囲気をまとわせる寺倉京古。
陶器製の人型に施す鎖のような模様はダズル模様のように視覚を惑わせ陶器の質感さえ紙や布かと錯覚させるユニークさを持つ鈴木優作。
３名を中心としたグループ展。
ギャラリーコンセプト
田口美術は岐阜県美術館の近くで2007年から営業している画廊。もともと掛け軸などの古書画をあつかう古美術商だったが店主が多摩美術大学でコンテンポラリーを学んだため若い作家の展覧会を開くようになる。
「温故知新」「承前啓後」の言葉どおり古典などの基礎を学び、そこから新しい表現に挑む作家を応援している。

About exhibited works
This exhibition is『Unique』
Toshiyuki Okada creates unique woodworking pieces that are unimaginable to ordinary people, such as attaching gears to spheres.
Miyako Terakura's works embody the word 'compassion,' perfectly reflecting the texture and atmosphere of creations that align with her idea of making cute things.
Yusaku Suzuki's humanoid ceramic pieces feature chain-like patterns that dazzle the eyes, creating a unique effect that makes one question whether the texture is actually ceramic or perhaps paper or fabric. A group exhibition centered around three individuals.
Gallery concept
Taguchi Art is an art gallery located near the Gifu Prefectural Museum of Art that has been in business since 2007. Originally an antiques dealer dealing in old calligraphy and paintings such as hanging scrolls, the shop owner studied contemporary art at Tama Art University and so began holding exhibitions of young artists as well. As the saying goes, "Learn from the past and create something new" and "Continue learning from the past," the gallery supports artists who learn the fundamentals of classics and then use that knowledge to take on new forms of expression.
