デジタル技術の進化と社会スピードが増すなかで、古くから継承された素材や手技に向かい合う工芸を土壌にした作品は時間を可視化させる力があり、現在を生きる人々の忙しない思考に一旦の楔を打つことができます。その祈りに似た没入する制作行為の先に現れた作品には個と全を繋げる役割があると考えます。どうぞご高覧いただければ幸いです。
ギャラリーコンセプト
Art+Craft Gallery蚕室 は東京・西荻窪で2013年から美術・工芸とジャンルを問わず企画展示を開催しています。素材や技巧、表現に挑戦せざるを得ない作家の試みに注目し、そこから生まれる視点と思考を作品とともに紹介するべく活動しています。
日常に優れた美術・工芸作品を体験することは普遍的な価値や柔軟な思考を手に入れることだと考えます。次世代に向けて伝え残すべきものを作家とともに探求し提案してまいります。

About exhibited works
As the speed at which both digital technology and society evolve has been increasing, works of art—born from the soil of crafts, which use materials and handicraft handed down from old—has the ability to visualize time. They can suspend, even for a moment, busy thinking of people who live in the present. Emerging from creative acts in which artists have been immersed as if to pray, they can play the role in connecting the individual with the whole. Please enjoy the exhibition.
Gallery concept
Since 2013 Art+Craft Gallery San-Shitsu has held art/craft exhibitions irrespective of the genre in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo. Focusing on artists who cannot help but experiment on challenging materials, techniques or expressions, we operate to showcase their works of art together with their perspectives and thoughts born from such creative experiments.
We believe that daily experience in excellent art-/craftworks will lead us to both universal values and flexible thinking. Working with artists, we will explore and propose what to pass on to the next generation.
