ARTIST INFORMATION
バーナーワークを主軸とし植物をモチーフとしたミクストメディアの作品を制作する。枯れゆく花から命が抜ける瞬間、その命が透明になる様をガラスの透明感と重ね合わせ制作する。 2012年多摩美術大学大学院卒業後、日本での活動と同時にカナダ・アメリカにてワークショップなどを受講しガラス技術の研鑽を行う。現在はKokeshi名義でガラスペンやジュエリー作品の発表をしつつ自身の創作活動にも勤めている。
Emi Fujita is a mixed-media artist who primarily works in flameworking. Her main motif is plants, she creates the fleeting moment that a wilting flower turns transparent.
After she graduated with MFA in Tama Art University, she practiced flameworking skills in Japan, Canada and the United States. Currently she makes glass dip pens and jewelry under her brand name “Kokeshi”, and also she creates her own body of work at her home studio.
