金太郎あめのように、複数の色の粘土を組みあわせ模様を描く「練り込み技法」を用いて、裏表どちらでも楽しめる器を作陶しています。絵付けのように自由に模様を描くのは難しい技法ですが、この技法特有の奥深さや面白さを楽しんでいただけるよう心掛けています。
Using the Nerikomi technique, which combines multiple colors of clay like Kintaro-ame to create intricate patterns, I handcraft vessels that can be enjoyed from both sides.
Drawing pattertns freely like hand-painting is a difficult technique, but I always strive to help people enjoy its unique depth and fascinaion.
