京都市立芸術大学油画卒。国内外での放浪と滞在制作を経て、現在は岡山県を拠点に活動。
「画家が作る世界に一つの器」を掲げ、陶器をキャンバスに物語を描く。30年の画業で培った鮮やかな色彩と大胆な構成、繊細な描写を融合させた絵画的表現が特徴。
日常にアートを滑り込ませ、使う人の感性を豊かにする表現を追求。
A graduate of the Kyoto City University of Arts, majoring in Oil Painting.
Following a period of traveling and artist-in-residence programs both in Japan and overseas, he is now based in Okayama Prefecture. Under the theme of “one-of-a-kind vessels created by a painter,” he treats ceramics as a canvas for storytelling. His work is characterized by a unique paiterly expression that merges the vivid colors and bold compositions developed over his 30-year career with delicate, intricate details.
He strives to weave art into the fabric of daily life, enriching the sensibilities of those who encounter his work.
