ARTIST INFORMATION

1950年フランス・ルビニャック生まれ。1978年パリ・ナンテール大学(美学・哲学)卒業後、画家として活動開始。1989年メキシコで日本の陶芸に出合い、1993年初来日。1999年京都で十五代樂吉左衞門、戸田博に師事。2007〜2010年、樂氏がルビニャック工房で制作。1999〜2019年まで日仏各地で毎年個展開催。国際陶芸アカデミー会員。作品は国内外の美術館に所蔵されている。

Born in 1950 in Loubignac, France. After graduating from Paris Nanterre University in 1978 with a degree in aesthetics and philosophy, he began working as a painter. In 1989, he encountered Japanese ceramics in Mexico and visited Japan for the first time in 1993. In 1999, he stayed in Kyoto and studied tea ceramics under Raku Kichizaemon XV and Hiroshi Toda. From 2007 to 2010, Raku Kichizaemon worked in his studio in Loubignac. Between 1999 and 2019, he held annual solo exhibitions in France and Japan. He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, and his works are held in major museums around the world.
