ARTIST INFORMATION
小出ナオキは1968年、愛知県生まれ。1992年に東京造形大学造形学部美術学科を卒業。現在は千葉県を拠点に制作活動を行っている。小出は主にFRP（合成樹脂）、セラミック、木などを用い、愛らしくもどこか不気味で不思議な立体作品で、雲のお化けやドクロなど、異界のものたちや、自身とその家族を作品化してきた。また、小出は滋賀県立陶芸の森で滞在制作の機会を得たこともきっかけに、2009年頃から彫刻の主な素材をFRPからセラミックに変えた。小出の作品には、詩情にあふれ、自伝的でありながら、鑑賞者の記憶を本質的に刺激するような魅力をもっている。
Naoki Koide was born in Aichi prefecture in 1968. He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1992, and currently lives and works in Chiba.
Koide’s subjects has been himself and his family, and created sculptures of charming yet somewhat ominous characters with FRP, ceramic or wood.
Having an opportunity to work in the artist-in-residence at the Shigaraki Cultural Ceramic Park, Koide changed his main material from FRP to ceramic in 2009.
Koide’s work is created as if they were continuation of child’s naive, yet earnest play. It’s poetic and autobiographical, but also strongly evokes memories of the viewer.
