出品作品について
工芸には色々な手法が在り、繋ぎ合わせる技法は素材を選ばず多様性に富みます。ガラスの細かい破片をシリコン、又は細い鎖で繋いだガラスの作品は、全く違う表情です。
一方、本来は完結する版画作品を、解体して絵の上に貼り合わせるコラージュは複合的技法での表現です。陶芸作品に多様性を生み出すのは技術ですが、日本の技術での欧州のかたち、イタリアの技法での日本のかたち、展示作品の対比が現代アートの工芸的美しさを際立たせます。
ギャラリーコンセプト
兵庫県芦屋で1999年に企画画廊として開廊。芸術性の高いアート作品を届け、芸術ある生活空間を提案。2016年7月より京都に移転。日本というアイデンティティーを最大限に感じる事のできる環境で現代アートを中心に、専属インテリアプランナーを有し、常にアートと生活空間との調和を考慮したアートコーディネートを主眼に個人住宅のみならずパブリックスペースまで手掛け、国際的に活動。また、総合的キュレーションのできる画廊として公共施設等での展覧会の企画制作も行う。

About exhibited works
There are various methods of crafting, and the techniques of connecting them are rich in diversity regardless of the material. A glass piece in which fine pieces of glass are connected with silicon or thin chains has a completely different expression.
On the other hand, collage, in which a printwork that would otherwise be completed is dismantled and pasted onto a painting, is an expression using a complex technique. It is technology that creates diversity in ceramic works, but the contrast between European forms in Japan techniques, Japan forms in Italian techniques, and the works on display highlight the craft beauty of contemporary art.
Gallery concept
Under the direction of Shoko Kitagawa and since its inception in 1999, ASHIYAGARO kyoto has been actively promoting works of contemporary art.
We present contemporary artists, both in Japan and from abroad, whose identity and originality mark our epoch.
We have a professional interior planner with a focus on contemporary art in an environment where you can feel the identity of Japan to the fullest, and is active internationally not only in private residences but also in public spaces, with a focus on art coordination that always considers the harmony between art and living spaces. In addition, as an art gallery capable of comprehensive curation, we also plan and produce exhibitions at public facilities.
