磁器による立方体のピクセルブロックを言語として、既存の物質と概念がもたらす様々な現象や社会通念を、客観的な目線によって現代社会を象徴的に表現する作家。リアルとバーチャルが入り混じる現代という時代性や、いくつもの二項対立（平面と立体，工芸と美術，現実と虚構など）を象徴的に表現しながら、現代美術を代表する陶芸家として、国内外で精力的に活動している。
Using a porcelain cube of pixel blocks as a language, the artist symbolically expresses contemporary society from an objective point of view, using various phenomena and social conventions brought about by existing materials and concepts. Symbolically expressing the contemporary nature of our time, where the real and the virtual intermingle, and the dichotomies (two-dimensional and three-dimensional, craft and art, reality and fiction, etc.), he actively engages as a representative ceramic artist in the contemporary art world, both in Japan and abroad.
