ARTIST INFORMATION
isayamax作品は70年代のウーマンリブ、戦争、SF・オカルトブームなどの「時代性の現代へのループ」と「スーパーフラット」からこぼれてしまっている70年代少女漫画の補完がテーマとなっており、長年培ったガールズイラストレーションの技術で美人画やイラストレーションと密接に関わりのある少女漫画やカワイイ文化をルーツとしたドメスティックなガールズPOPの文脈を現代に昇華し表現している。
Isayamax’s work is “a loop to the modern age of the 70’s women’s liberation, war, sci-fi and occult boom” and “to complement the 70’s girls’ manga that has been spilled from ‘superflat’”. Using the girl’s illustration technique he has cultivated over many years, he sublimates and expresses the domestic girl’s POP context rooted in shojo manga and kawaii culture, which are closely related to bijinga and illustration.
