出品作品について
近代以降、芸術と工芸は異なるフレームに括られてきたが、現代においてはむしろその境界の可塑性が問われている。クラフトは機能性や装飾性に還元されるものではなく、作家の知覚と技術、さらにそれをとりまく社会・文化的条件との応答の場として捉えられている。今回の出展予定作品は、そのような臨界点において物質と概念の往還運動を通じて生まれる「工芸的なるもの」の可能性を体現したものである。
ギャラリーコンセプト
モノノアハレヲは国内外の現代美術の作家を中心に取り扱うコマーシャルギャラリーです。四季のうつろいや無常といったものに伴う「もののあはれ」をはじめとした、日本的美意識の底流が息づくような作品や作家を中心に幅広く発信をすすめております。ギャラリー内での企画展や国内外のアートフェア、オンライン等にて、作品の展示販売を行っております。また、作家の活動展開をマネジメントを含め共に行っております。

About exhibited works
Since the modern era, art and craft have been framed within separate institutional and discursive boundaries; however, in the contemporary context, it is precisely the plasticity of these boundaries that is being called into question. Craft is no longer reducible to functionality or ornamentation, but is increasingly understood as a site of response—a field of negotiation between the maker’s perception and technique, and the broader socio-cultural conditions that shape them. The works presented in this exhibition embody the potential of the “craft-like” as it emerges at such critical thresholds, through a reciprocal movement between materiality and conceptual inquiry.
Gallery concept
MONONOAharewo is a commercial gallery that primarily works with contemporary artists from Japan and abroad. We aim to widely disseminate works and artists that embody the underlying currents of Japanese aesthetic sense.
