Kogei Art Fair Kanazawa では初出品となる新進の作家を集めました。岡村悠紀は焼き物による細部まで可動する蟹の自在置物を。藤田朋一はアクリル樹脂を使い組み木造りとも言える方法で新しい工芸を目指します。
ギャラリーコンセプト
工芸においても、レーザーカットや3Dプリントを取り入れた新しい作品が作られています。これにより、従来の技術では難しかった複雑なデザインや軽量化が実現しています。これらの新しい工芸作品は、伝統を尊重しつつも現代の技術やデザインを取り入れることで、日本の工芸の新しい可能性を広げています。Gallery MARUHIは、才能ある若手作家を発掘し、先述した工芸作品を紹介するギャラリーです。伝統技法と現代の革新を融合した作品を展示し、各作家の個展を通じてその独自性と技術を紹介します。

About exhibited works
Kogei Art Fair Kanazawa has gathered up-and-coming artists who will be exhibiting for the first time. Okamura Yuki will create a ceramic crab figurine that can be moved down to the smallest detail, while Fujita Tomokazu will use transparent acrylic resin to create a virtual building using a technique that can be described as kumikizukuri, aiming to create a new type of craft. From the perspective of turning familiar objects into crafts, Okada Morihiro will create a ceramic version of the teddy bear, a symbol of American country, while Shiratani Takuma will present a painted woodcarving with a motif of origami, a traditional Japanese art.
Gallery concept
In crafts, new works are being created that incorporate laser cutting and 3D printing. This allows for complex designs and lightweight designs that were difficult to achieve with conventional techniques. These new craft works respect tradition while incorporating modern technology and design, expanding the new possibilities of Japanese crafts. Gallery MARUHI is a gallery that discovers talented young artists and introduces the aforementioned craft works. It exhibits works that combine traditional techniques with modern innovations, and introduces the uniqueness and techniques of each artist through their solo exhibitions.
