About exhibited works

We are pleased to present works by five young ceramic artists and embroidery artists, four of whom have completely different personalities.
Natsuki Hoshino creates cute animals in figurative forms.
Akie Tai, whose works are characterized by cute shapes and colors, such as small vases for single flowers, small containers, and vessels.
Maho Kitaura creates objects and vessels with a metallic texture and a sense of weight.
Minori Ieyama creates refreshing objets d'art using a unique technique of firing porcelain clay and glass at the same time.
Marina Tomoyose uses sewing machine embroidery to express the world of organic cells and a microscopic look.
All of them add a bit of color and richness to your life when you have them in your room.

Gallery concept

Gallery Shibatacho provides artists with a place and opportunities to showcase their art work.
Our mission is to deliver the greatness of creative activities through art exhibitions, and to support young artists through our own projects such as young artist support program and open call exhibitions.
The gallery space is located in Kita-ku Shibata, which once was called Shibata-cho. Bearing the old name of the district, we aim to contribute to cultural development while inheriting the good essence of what is current and traditional.
