出品作品について
作品の佇まいが石或いは鉱物として成立することを前提として、陶芸の技法を用いて制作をしている。焼成後にグラインダーで削り出すことで現れる多層な釉薬の断面は、自然界の時間の流れによる積層を模倣する。
ギャラリーコンセプト
京都で2001年に開業し、2011年まで新進気鋭アーティストの発信拠点となった
neutron、2009年から2012年まで展開したneutron tokyoを手がけたアートディレ
クター・石橋圭吾が、2013年より始動させたのが白白庵。
従来の「美術 / 工芸」と言った分け隔てを無くし、伝統工芸から最先端のクリエ
イティブまでをフラットに俯瞰し検証することで、欧米中心のアートシーンに
一石を投じる意味でのJAPANESE HYBRID ARTを提唱。

About exhibited works
The work is created through ceramic techniques, based on the premise that each piece should exist as though it were a stone or mineral.
By grinding the fired surface with a grinder, layered cross-sections of glaze are revealed, imitating the stratified formations produced over time in the natural world.
Gallery concept
Art director Keigo Ishibashi, who produced neutron, which opened in Kyoto in
2001 and served as a hub for emerging artists until 2011, and neutron tokyo,
which ran from 2009 to 2012, launched PAKUPAKUAN in 2013.
By eliminating the traditional distinction between "fine arts/crafts," and by
examining everything from traditional crafts to cutting-edge creativity from a flat,
bird's eye view, PAKUPAKUAN advocates JAPANESE HYBRID ART as a way to
create a stir in the Western-centered art scene.
