After studying dyeing and weaving at university, I learned Yuzen dyeing at Kanazawa and was taught Yuzen from Kaga Yuzen artisans in Kanazawa where is the famous place to create Yuzen dyeing. And I learned to complete the Yuzen dyeing process, which is usually divided among different people, all by myself. By performing all the processes myself, I am not constrained by other processes and am aiming for new forms of expression through repeated failures and experiments.
