主に鹿の角・骨を素材とした作品の制作しています。
“hai”で扱っている鹿の骨や角は、作家自身が山に入り猟をし、解体し、煮沸、洗浄、乾燥と、一つ一つの工程を丁寧に、じっくりと向き合っています。命をあますことなくいただくことを目的に、またその力強さを生命感あふれるモチーフにこめて、身に着けるかたちに彫刻します。

“hai”は扱っている素材への敬意を忘れないように “拝”
別の形や役割に生まれ変わる “胚”
2つの意味を込めて名付けました。
I mainly make works using deer horns and bones.
The deer bones and antlers handled by “hai” are carefully handled by the artist himself, who goes into the mountains and hunts, dismantling, boiling, washing, and drying each step.
With the aim of consuming life without wasting it, we carve it into a wearable form, using its strength as a motif full of vitality.
“hai” is named with two meanings: “worship” to remember to respect the material we are handling, and “embryo” to be reborn into a different shape and role.
