ARTIST INFORMATION

1976: 栃木県生まれ
2000: 東京藝術大学美術学部工芸科漆芸専攻科卒業
: 香川県漆芸研究所入所
: 修了後漆芸作家山下義人氏に師事
2002: 日本工芸会四国支部展磯井如真賞

色漆や金属粉を組み合わせ、細密な筆致で独自のデザインや文様を描く。
自由に漆を楽しむ提案として装身具の作品作りを主としている。

: Entered Kagawa Urushi Lacquerware Institute
: After completion of the course, studied under Yoshito Yamashita, Lacquerware artist

Naoki Ami combines colored lacquer and metal powder to create unique designs and patterns with her fine brush strokes. She has a special interest in focusing on creating accessories as a proposal to enjoy lacquer in unconventional approach.
