ARTIST INFORMATION
1984年奈良県生まれ、アメリカ在住。大阪・谷町ガラスhono工房、東京ガラス工芸研究所を経て、2012年富山ガラス造形研究所修了。
「目に見えるものと見えないもの」や「生と死の狭間」など曖昧で不確かなものの可視化を試みる広垣の作品は、幾千もの極細のガラス棒から構成されており、繊細さと生々しい生命力が同居し不可思議な魅力を放っている
Born in Nara, Japan in 1984 and currently lives in the United States.
Graduated from Tokyo Glass Art Institute in 2010 and Toyama Glass Art Institute in 2012
The Artworks of Ayako Hirogaki attempts to visualize the ambiguous and uncertain, such as “”what is visible and what is invisible”” and “”the space between life and death. Her works are composed of thousands of ultra-fine glass rods, and have a mysterious appeal where delicacy and fresh vitality coexist.
