石を彫り出す際、不要な部分を削るプロセスでしか造形することは出来ない。つまり、後から何かを加えることはできない。このようなプロセスの決定性は、不運にも修行や敬意を重んじる侍の生き方に酷似している。武士は、一つの失敗が命取りになる。同じように、石を彫る行為を通じて、浅香は、侍が常に死を意識しているということを伝えています。それは、石という素材で表現できる限界に挑戦する試みの一環であり、石の神に対しての反骨精神の極みといえるかもしれません。この哲学は、申し分のないテクニックで作り出される彼のダイナミックな作品に集約され、国内外でますます注目を浴びています。

When carving out a stone, it can only be formed by the process of removing unnecessary parts. In other words, nothing can be added later. The deterministic nature of such a process is very similar to the way of life of the samurai, who, unfortunately, value training and respect. For a samurai, one mistake can be fatal. Similarly, through the act of carving stone, Asaka conveys that the samurai is constantly aware of death. This is part of his attempt to push the limits of what can be expressed in stone as a material, and may be said to be the ultimate in rebellion against the god of stone. This philosophy is concentrated in his dynamic works produced with impeccable technique, which are attracting more and more attention both in Japan and abroad.
