兵庫県生まれ。石膏の型にガラス粉末を詰めて電気炉で焼成する技法で、これまで数多くのガラス作品を発表してきた。つくることを、作者と素材の間に結ばれた「動的な関係の在りよう」としてとらえ、作品をその接点にて立ち起こった「出来事」と定義する井本の作品は、ガラスの運動によって立ち起こった触覚的な知覚体験を、ガラスという素材を通じて、「確かにそこに在る」という事実そのものとして表現している。「LOEWE Craft Prize 2023」Fainalist,「New Glass Review 42」The Corning Museum of Glass/アメリカ(2022)他
Born in Hyogo Prefecture. Using a technique that involves filling plaster casts with glass powder and firing them in an electric kiln, she has created many glass works.
