ARTIST INFORMATION
1956年京都市生まれ、東洋美術学校 絵画科卒業、京友禅 金彩加工の工房に勤務。高橋誠は絵画とは抽象的な物という考えの基、「形」と「色彩」の二つの要素のうち、「形」は窓/フレームであり、観る人を誘うもの。その窓枠/フレームを通して中の「色彩」を魅力的に調和させることが大切だとしている。発色は主題の一つであり、その表現を様々な色の組み合わせで表現。別々に造形した色をコラージュして凹凸のない象嵌のように一つの平面に纏めアンビバレント/両義性な画面を作る。
Born in Kyoto in 1956.Graduated from the Department of Painting at the Toyo Art School, and worked at a gold processing workshop in Kyoyuzen.
Makoto Takahashi is based on the idea that painting is an abstract object, and of the two elements of “form” and “color”, “form” is a window/frame, which invites the viewer. He thinks it is important to harmonize the “color” inside attractively through the window frame. Coloration is one of the themes, and it is expressed by combining various coloring materials. Separately shaped colors are collaged and brought together on a single flat surface like a smooth inlay to create an ambivalent/ambiguous surface.
