Metals are made by refining minerals. The surface of metal is a very unstable state, it is always heading for rust .The process of rusting is the process by which the metal returns to its mineral state. Rust has a memory when metal was a mineral (and more earlier). Rust remains me the awe for nature, and evokes ancient sensations when humans discovered metal in minerals first time.
