長閑に「花鳥風月」などとぬかし、我々はあまりに「自然」の姿を甘く見てはいなかったか。近年の猛烈な変化は、そのリアルな姿への認識を我々に要求しているように思えてならない。精緻な表現を通し、自然の荒々しさ、鋭さ、冷徹さといったものをその表現の中に見出せるアーティストたち十数名によって、これからの自然との対峙のスタンスを提言する。

Haven't we underestimated the appearance of 'nature' too lightly by calling it 'the beauty of nature'? I can't help but think that the drastic changes in recent years are demanding us to recognize their real appearance. Through precise expressions, artists who can find the rough, sharp, and cold-heartedness of nature in their expressions will propose the stance of confronting nature in the future.
