GALLERY KTOでは、布や紙を樹脂で固めた流動的な大地的形状を展開する「古川流雄」、陶器の性質を生かし顔をモチーフに他者について問う「山口真和」、さまざまな金属を素材にジュエリーの“新しい在り方”を生み出す「山田瑞子」の3名の作家を中心に発表する。樹脂・陶器・金属とそれぞれ異なった素材・技法を用いた３人が、”工芸”という視点を切り口に見せる作家思想は大地と生活を結ぶ接続点となるだろう。
ギャラリーコンセプト
GALLERY KTOは2019年に東京・原宿にオープンしたコンテンポラリーアートギャラリーです。
KTOはロシア語で「誰かの」を意味し、作家と鑑賞者を繋ぐ存在でありたいと願い、日々新たな芸術を発信しています。気鋭若手作家や美術史が見落としてきた中堅／ベテラン作家に注目をし、既存の枠に囚われない芸術作品を展示します。
原宿、渋谷、名古屋、さらに外苑前の美容室との提携により、4箇所で年間約48本企画しています。

About exhibited works
At GALLERY KTO, three artists will exhibit their works.
""Haruo Furukawa,"" who solidifies cloth and paper with resin and develops fluid, earth-like forms. ""Mana Yamaguchi,"" who makes use of the characteristics of ceramics and asks questions of others in the motif of faces. And ""Mizuko Yamada,"" who creates new ways to jewelry using a variety of metals.
The three artists, who use different materials and techniques such as resin, ceramics, and metal, will present their works from the viewpoint of ""crafts"" that connect nature and daily life.
Gallery concept
Gallery KTO is a contemporary art gallery that opened in Harajuku, Tokyo in 2019.
KTO means ""someone's"" in Russian, and through this location, we hope to continue to be a hub for more artists and viewers. We are constantly introducing new art. We have exhibition spaces in Harajuku, Shibuya and Nagoya, and in cooperation with a beauty salon in Gaienmae. We hold about 48 exhibitions a year in a total of 4 spaces.
The gallery exhibits up-and-coming young artists and mid-career/experienced artists who have been overlooked by art history, and handles a group of works that are art without boundaries, paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, animation, and installation works. We appreciate the works of art together with the visitors to the gallery, and we directly convey the appeal to them.
We will strive to provide everyone with a wonderful artistic experience.
