Born in Taipei in 1983.

When observing Chiu Kuo-Fong’s artworks, we often experience a sense of “deja vu.” The core of Chiu Kuo-Fong’s creative process has always been how to achieve a “blending of the old with the new” from the historical context of ink painting. After this sense of familiarity, we can often witness the artist’s experimentation and changes in form, composition, and medium compared to the past. These diverse attempts result in a fresh presentation of the artworks, even though they are rooted in traditional landscape painting, thanks to the infusion of new compositions, brushwork, and materials.
