出品作品について
金属工芸から久野彩子、久米圭子、水代達史、坂井直樹の4名、漆工芸から伊能一三、村本真吾の2名、合わせて6名の作家による展示を行います。一見相反する素材の金属と漆はどちらも自然界に存在する物質であり、共に時代を経る恒久性があり、光を反射し又は潤んで美しい光沢を持ちます。6名の作家もそれぞれの造形や世界観を追求した独自性と実力を持ち多様でありながら、普遍的な美しさや価値を宿し素材の可能性を拡張し続けています。
ギャラリーコンセプト
オリジナリティーを持ち、今という時代を感じさせながらも、普遍性のある作家、作品の企画展を開催します。「Ponte」とは「橋」という意味があります。我々は「美術」もまた離れた土地を結びつけ、物質や精神への架け橋となるものではないかと考えます。ここで出会う作品はどんな場所へ通じる「橋(ponte)」なのか。それを知るために私たちは橋を渡り両岸をつなぐ橋であることを目指します。

About exhibited works
The exhibition will feature six artists: four from the metal craft field (Ayako Kuno, Keiko Kume, Satoshi Mizushiro, and Naoki Sakai) and two from the Urushi field (Ichiozo Ino and Shingo Muramoto). Metal and Urushi, seemingly contradictory materials, are both materials that exist in the natural world, and both have a timeless permanence, reflect light, and have a moist and beautiful luster. They continue to expand the possibilities of materials with universal beauty and value.
Gallery concept
Our gallery features high originality, and holds exhibitions of universal artists with ontemporary tastes. “Ponte” means “bridge”, and like bridges, we believe that art also connects remote and different lands, acting as a bridge to substance and spirit. Where to could this “ponte communicate the work we encounter here? We cross bridges in order to find the answer, and aim to become a bridge connecting both sides.
