穴窯と呼ばれる日本の戦国時代に使われていた単室の薪窯で釉薬をかけずに焼き締める、
無釉薬焼締による作品。燃料の薪の灰が壺に降りかかって熱で熔け、様々な景色を作ります。
ギャラリーコンセプト
和田画廊は2002年に東京・八重洲にて開廊。19年より銀座に拠点を移す。日本画・洋画・陶芸・彫刻・版画・写真など幅広い展覧会を開催し、国内外問わず作品を取り扱うコンテンポラリーアートのギャラリー。シカゴ、パリ、韓国、台湾などの国際的なアートフェアに多数参加し、様々な年代のグローバルに活躍するアーティストの作品を紹介している。

About exhibited works
This work is made by unglazed firing in a single-chamber wood-fired kiln used in Japan's Sengoku period, known as anagama. The ashes of the wood used as fuel fall on the jar and are melted by the heat, giving the jar various landscapes.
Gallery concept
Wada Garou Tokyo opened in 2002 in Yaesu, Tokyo and moved to Ginza in 2019. A contemporary art gallery presenting a diverse selection of Japanese and international paintings, ceramics, sculpture, prints and photography. The gallery has participated in numerous international art fairs in Chicago, Paris, Korea and Taiwan, presenting works by artists of various period.
