ARTIST INFORMATION
The life of a small flower nurtures the lives of birds and small animals; Taiichiro Yoshida expresses the concept of the circle of life, a connection between life and death, passionately and beautifully. Yoshida produces his works with highly refined instinctive designs and striking techniques, and his color expressions are remarkable. The colors on his works are created by heating various metals and quickly cool them down once they reach the intensity that he wants, never applying paint on his creations. This type of technique, which ranges from material processing to shaping, is usually done by multiple artisans, both traditionally and in this modern era. However, Yoshida has been consistently creating his works alone, combining “chemistry and art,” and is probably the only artist in the world who does so.
