Koh, Bohyung

Artist Koh Bohyung received a B,A and an M.F.A in metal craft at Hongik University and its Graduate School of Industrial Art, and acquired Meister Schueler at Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der Bildenden Künste) in Nürnberg, Germany. He is currently working as associate professor at Hanyang University ERICA Campus College of Design. His works exude metal properties as much as possible, excluding complicated lines through forging – the oldest metal forming technique to create a form using the external force to the heated metal. They are acclaimed as the basics of metal craft completed in terms of design and technique as they pursue to be ‘just the right size’ and ‘simple and clear’. He has presented his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad.
