Akira Fujimoto

Born 1975 in Tokyo. Organizer of “SONO AIDA,” a project that utilizes existing buildings for installations and performances. Focusing on contradictions found in the social systems and the urban gaps—interspaces, cleavages, temporally/spatially blank spaces—, Fujimoto transforms daily activities into art. His works maximize the nature of materials and physicality, and exemplify social phenomena that transcend human thoughts that cover this world.
