Jun Matsumura

After graduating from Tajimi City Ceramics Design Institute, he is studying at Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo (Crafts Studio). He aims to produce ideal artifacts by extracting shapes from the natural world. The work is created by pressing the magnetic soil into a mold, shaping it, drying and then finished by carving it. Thanks to the transparent glaze applied in some places, the line looks more three-dimentional and gives movement into the work. Three-dimensional works that give a sense of peaceful feeling in sharp lines cut to the limit bring new stimulus to the world of art. His works displayed at Art Beijing in 2016, Fine Art Asia and at various art fairs.
